Course Title: Everyday AI
As AI becomes more integrated into daily life, digital literacy must extend beyond basic smartphone use. This course empowers adult learners to understand, navigate, and leverage AI in a supportive environment, enhancing their confidence, personal productivity, and digital citizenship. With Clovis Adult School’s commitment to lifelong learning, "Everyday with AI" offers timely skills for today’s evolving world.
Navigate the modern world with greater confidence by unlocking the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in your daily life. Designed for adult learners with little to no prior experience, this beginner-friendly course demystifies AI and explores its practical applications. Participants will gain hands-on experience using simple AI tools on smartphones, learning how AI can simplify tasks, enhance creativity, and support lifelong learning. The course will also briefly explore AI’s emerging role in the workplace, providing context without requiring technical expertise.
Upon completion, learners will:
Define Artificial Intelligence and recognize its everyday uses.
Understand the history and evolution of AI.
Set up and navigate a generative AI tool (e.g., ChatGPT or Gemini) on a computer/tablet/smartphone.
Apply AI for gathering information, communication, and creative projects.
Identify AI-powered features in everyday digital tools.
Understand basic ethical considerations in AI use.
Discover resources for further exploration.
Adults with limited or no prior AI or digital literacy experience.
